Great deep analysis. I’ve been wondering if part of why it’s so good is because it’s a modern vibe in a post-modern entertainment world. It’s like I was slapped in the face after each early episode where nothing of major consequence or action happened. Each smack saying this is what life was like before our deep capitalist souls needed to be blasted with profit-making action every 5 minutes or else risk picking up our phones in boredom. The show had the shape of something we long for in art these day, I think. Where profit and repetition in storylines isn’t the primary driver. (I think you guys kind of spoke of this point.) Anyway, just blown away by the feeling it invoked. Can’t wait for the ultimate season.
