I watched To Live and Die in L.A. earlier this year for the first time, and was pretty struck by the intensity of it, the story, the acting, the sheer 1980s of it, and the COLOR, wow. Does anyone make movies like this anymore?
It was just remastered in 4K and re-released on Blu-Ray/UHD last month. For those of us still clinging to physical media, it’s a real treat.
I really, really want to watch Bug but I’m too afraid that it might trigger similar fears/obsessions in my neurotic brain. Is the depiction of the paranoia about the bugs truly as intense as it sounds?

The depiction is intense, but it’s pretty uniformly treated as a total delusion, if that makes a difference.
“Aphids!!!” Wow, thanks for reminding me that Friedkin directed Bug.
Great clip of Freidkin, funny. Freidkin also directed Killer Joe, another Tracy Letts play. It's wild!
I watched Sorcerers a few years back and boy, what a gorgeous, thrilling masterpiece.
