I hear you on the "internet atheist" revival as a backlash to trending esotericism & religiosity but I'm struggling to imagine what underlying political program it could attach itself to w/o popular support for neocons. Will keep an eye out for this!
nu internet atheism is gonna get wrapped up in all that geopolitical realpolitik osint mess type stuff -- it'll be jingoistic, contra all the alien believers. New culture war front?

"Gods of Egypt" is both delightfully bonkers and incredibly dull for most of it, it's a strange combo.
